if you can eat one third of the food you eat now, and still get all the nutrients minerals, and vitamins... how? easy as parsnips. yams, garlic,ginger,...so much more. it would make for far less storage needed to hold whats needed on hand. not to mention healthier. rosehip berries have 50 times more vitamin c than oranges. fish and nuts add major benifits. so i am starting this thing..hehehe...
cookies? someone say cookies?...ah yes. i know of a few candies, and with some flower like dandelion flour or cat tail flower, but sugar is needed. id love to have the kitchen thats capable of makeing cookies in the middle of no where from the land. as we know more well expand links and look into copy text and stuff. herbal solar food dehydrator, steaming for cleaning and cooking, vacuum and cold storage, all of these are good ideas. in most cases herbs must be stored properly. processing is important too, follow directions. when it comes to baking with edible wild i have only come accross a couple books which give pictures, descriptions, process, compounds and nutrient content. plus a recipe to cook for each herb. in most cases they call for sugar but they also provide a wild alternative to it. the book is called "the edible wild" dont remember the author or publisher...havent seen it for years and years. but my book collection is doing great, survival, medicinal, homesteading, holistic, martial arts, engineering, training manuals for courses,
need to build a common library for all to access training and research.
